SUPPORT NOT SIGNPOSTING

Contact our Outreach Team, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm at attention@forcesunited.co.uk   or call 0300 7727188

If you or someone who is part of the Veteran or armed forces community need support with practical or emotional challenges, we will do our best to help.

We know what it is like to be sent round in circles signposted endlessly.

We can provide direct personal guidance and support and we will work

with you to connect you to the services you need.  Services we have seen in action working effectively.

What's more we will remain in the background helping you to stay on track when you need a guiding hand.   Whether you need mental health support, physical wellbeing services, employment or training opportunities, homeless or housing advice, or help to avoid social isolation in the wider community.

In the case of an emergency please call 999

NAVIGATE LOCALLY - HERTFORDSHIRE

A COUNTY WIDE COVENANT

Hertfordshire Heroes is the name used to promote the Hertfordshire Armed Forces Covenant Board who work in partnership to deliver the Armed Forces Covenant locally. It brings together business, military organisations, charities, NHS and local authorities in a shared commitment to ensure that those who serve and have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, are treated fairly.

 The Board aims to:

  • Ensure that veterans and those in the Armed Forces Community are not disadvantaged in accessing services; recognising that special consideration is appropriate in some cases, especially for those such as the injured and bereaved.

  • that the sacrifices made by members of the Armed Forces Community are recognised and remembered

  • encourage the integration of service life into civilian life.

ROYAL BRITISH LEGION HERTS

Custodians of Remembrance and championing support for the Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force, veterans and their families.  The Royal British Legion is here to help our members nd we’re not going anywhere.

We support serving and ex-serving personnel all year round, every day of the week.  Support  that starts after one day of service and continues through life, long after service is over.

Across Hertfordshire we have numerous branches that you can be part of , in fact you can join more than one for your membership.   It means being surrounded by  friendship and having access to so much more.    Simply click on the link to get information direct from RBL  Hertfordshire County.

You can also get involved with a Branch Poppy Appeal , or their Gret Tommy Sleep out.  Every year our Herts members take place in Remembrance services across the county and you will see ouur Standard proudly leading those who come together to give thanks and pay their respects.
